• Start your morning without phone‑induced chaos

Imagine trying to process difficult emotions while your body is supercharged. It’s nearly impossible. When your central nervous system is in overdrive, your emotions become overwhelming, and your mental health struggles to stay afloat.

That’s why we teach one foundational principle at our wellness retreat:
Stress. Decompress. Stress. Decompress.

How to Decompress Your Nervous System: Start with Your Breath

Stress often shows up in the body before we even notice it in the mind. One of the first signs? Disrupted breathing. You pause. You hold. You disconnect. But breath is more than a reflex — it’s a built-in regulatory tool that can help restore emotional balance in moments of overwhelm.

When emotions surge and your nervous system enters fight-or-flight mode, intentional breathwork can activate the parasympathetic response — the body’s natural mechanism for calming and grounding. This isn’t just anecdotal. Research shows that slow, controlled breathing can reduce cortisol levels, lower heart rate, and improve emotional regulation by engaging the vagus nerve and shifting the body into a state of rest and repair.

Try this simple breathing technique:

Inhale gently through your nose for 4 seconds

Hold for 2 seconds

Exhale slowly through your mouth for 8 seconds

The extended exhale is key. It signals safety to your nervous system, helping to calm your body before you react.

Alternatively, the 4-7-8 method: inhale for 4 seconds, hold for 7, exhale for 8, has been shown to reduce anxiety and improve sleep quality, as popularised by Dr. Andrew Weil and supported by clinical studies on paced respiration.

At its core, stress and trauma are forms of emotional overload. Breathwork offers a way to interrupt that cycle — to pause, reset, and respond with intention rather than impulse.

See scientific references at the bottom of this blog.

The Sympathetic Trap: Fear, Alertness, and Disconnection

The sympathetic nervous system is wired for survival – fight, flight, or freeze. It’s rooted in fear and hyper-alertness. When you’re stuck in this mode:

You operate in beta brain waves – your conscious mind is on high alert.

You disconnect from your subconscious mind – your higher self, your intuition, your spiritual centre.

Many people in sympathetic mode feel they can’t cope. They’re not good enough. They reach for coping mechanisms because they’ve lost connection with their inner guidance.

The Shift: From Sympathetic to Parasympathetic

We teach you how to self-regulate at our retreats – how to shift from the go-go-go of sympathetic stress to the calm, restorative parasympathetic mode. This is where healing begins:

You enter Alpha and Theta brain waves or the subconscious zone.

You reconnect with your higher self, whether you call it the Holy Spirit, your intuition, or your inner compass.

You restore balance – physically, mentally, emotionally, energetically and spiritually.

Once your central nervous system is subdued, your emotions follow. And when emotions are balanced, mental health becomes manageable. That’s when you can reprogramme your neural pathways and shift your mindset from fear to fullness.

Why You Can’t Just “Think Positive”

You can’t flip the mental switch until you decompress your nervous system.
Oxidative stress – caused by chronic sympathetic activation – prepares your body for war:

It halts immune function.

It floods your bloodstream with glucose.

It raises blood sugar levels, regardless of what you eat.

So yes, nutrition matters – but getting your stress under control – matters more.

In Conclusion: The Breath Is the Bridge

If you want to balance your nervous system, you must start with breath.
We teach a beautiful, natural technique – how to self-regulate through conscious breathing.

It’s simple. It’s powerful. And it’s the first step toward healing.

Why Managing Your Nervous System Is the Key to Stress Management and Burnout

Are you feeling overwhelmed, stressed, sick and tired? Or are you in your forties and have started the journey of perimenopause, which obviously brings an array of new challenges in the next phase of your life? You’re on the right medication, and you do rest, maybe not as often as you’d like, and yet you just can’t get out of the slump. You feel emotional, burnt out, fatigued and not quite yourself. Well, this is a key indication that you are in oxidative stress, and why managing your nervous system is the key to stress management and burnout.

At the heart of our wellness retreat lies a simple but powerful mission: to help you understand why daily restoration is essential and how to fill your cup consistently so you don’t spiral into burnout and unwanted emotional dysregulation.

A Real-Life Case: The Single Mom in Survival Mode

Today, we’re sharing a typical client story to illustrate the kind of consultation and counselling we offer. She’s a single mom, running her own business while raising her children. Recently, the father of her minor children lost his job, which meant she had to take on extra clients to compensate for the loss of child support.

This is more than just stress – it’s chronic survival mode. She’s barely coming up for air, and like many of us, she’s not breathing properly. When your body is stuck in “go-go-go” fight-or-flight mode, your central nervous system is in overdrive. And when this continues unchecked, it leads to something called oxidative stress.

I taught her how to regulate her emotions and prevent burnout with a basic understanding of the nervous system and a routine she can follow each night to release the pressure of the day and wake up relaxed, with enough sleep and rejuvenated, ready to take on all the challenges that will present themselves the following day.

What Is Oxidative Stress, and Why Should You Care?

Oxidative stress means your cells are starved of oxygen. And when that happens, three critical things break down:

You stop absorbing nutrition effectively – even if you’re eating well.

You stop absorbing hydration – even if you’re drinking litres of water.

You stop releasing toxins, which leads to inflammation, weight gain, and hormonal imbalance.

You can’t manage your hormones unless you first manage your stress hormones. That’s where our work begins.

Understanding Your Nervous System: Sympathetic vs. Parasympathetic

Your central nervous system has two parts, sympathetic and parasympathetic. Here’s a short description to help you understand this in a practical way.

Sympathetic:

The fight-or-flight mode. If you can’t fight or flee, you freeze, which leads to procrastination, overwhelm, and even PTSD-like symptoms. In a car this would be the pedal you push to go.

Parasympathetic:

The rest-and-digest mode. Think of it like paraplegia—your body must stop, calm down, and reset. In a car, this is the brake pedal. You can’t keep driving; somewhere you must use the brakes, and if the brakes fail, you’re in a lot of trouble.

Many clients say, “I know what I need to do, but I just can’t get myself to do it.” That’s the freeze response. It’s not laziness – it’s biology.

The Sleep Paradox: Why You’re Still Exhausted

Even if you’re taking sleeping tablets, you may wake up feeling drained. That’s oxidative stress at play. Your body is producing trillions of new cells overnight, but if your nervous system is still charged, those cells carry yesterday’s emotional baggage. So how do we solve this problem?

The Stress-Decompress Cycle – It’s a Lifestyle

When your nervous system is hyped, your emotions are hyped. Trauma, stress, and difficult emotions become even harder to process and regulate. That’s why decompression is non-negotiable. You simply must create a habit to do the following. And yes, it might not be easy in the beginning, but it’s a key component to living a life of success without falling prey to emotional dysregulation, fatigue and even worse, an autoimmune disease.

Managing Your Nervous System: Stress, Decompress and Repeat

During the Day:

Remember the car pedals – as you drive, remind yourself to brake, aka breathe (4 breaths in, hold for 7 counts and out for 8 counts).

Whether you’re driving, sitting at your desk or taking a brisk walk. Breathing is the first step in mini decompression techniques to reset that nervous system and prevent the overwhelm that could follow.

Sleep Routine:

Bath or shower to wash away the negative energy of the day

Breathing exercises to decompress the nervous system (we have videos about breathing to show you how).

Meditation or prayer or journaling to get the junk out of your mind and centre yourself

It’s not indulgent – it’s essential to survival and success.

Prevention Is Better Than Diagnosis

Oxidative stress is the common denominator of all disease. It leads to inflammation, which is a buzzword in the medical industry today. You cannot just see a medical doctor; you must change your lifestyle, and this includes moving, food, sleep and stress.

Prevention is not only better than cure – it’s easier to manage than treating a medical diagnosis. That’s why we teach you how to regulate your nervous system, restore your breath, and reclaim your energy.

At our retreats we do breathwork and trauma and emotional release exercises and counselling to assist with lifestyle and stress management, plus you get treated to amazing massages, oxygen sauna therapy and so much more. You can check out the details of our retreat here.

Like our single mom slash entrepreneur, take control of your health and your future, and do whatever it takes to get back into balance physically, mentally, emotionally, energetically and spiritually.

Don’t wait till it’s too late; get hold of us today and take your health to the next level.

Navigating menopause can feel like a whirlwind, especially for women over 40 juggling multiple roles and responsibilities. As hormonal changes usher in physical and emotional shifts, effective stress management becomes crucial to maintaining balance and well-being. But how do you reclaim your calm amidst the chaos? In this article, we’ll explore proven strategies designed specifically for women experiencing this significant transition. From mindfulness practices to physical activities and holistic approaches, these tools can help you not only cope with but master this phase of life. Embrace the journey toward better health and emotional stability as you discover actionable tips to flourish during menopause. Let’s take this empowering step together and transform stress into strength!

Understanding Menopause and Its Impact on Stress

Menopause is a natural biological process that marks the end of a woman’s menstrual cycles. It is diagnosed after going 12 months without a menstrual period and typically occurs in your 40s or 50s, with the average age being 51. Perimenopause can start from the age of 35 according to Dr. Mary Claire Haver who specializes in menopause. The menopausal transition, also known as perimenopause, is the period where women may experience changes in their monthly cycles, hot flashes, fatigue, brain fog, emotional fluctuations, anxiety and other symptoms. This transition can cause significant physical and emotional changes, largely due to fluctuating hormone levels.

The period of menopause can be particularly stressful due to its myriads of symptoms, which include night sweats, mood swings, and sleep disturbances. These symptoms can interfere with daily life and contribute to a feeling of being overwhelmed. Additionally, women at this stage often face other life stressors, such as caring for aging parents, dealing with children leaving home, and managing career demands. Understanding how menopause impacts stress levels is the first step in developing effective coping strategies.

It’s important to recognize that stress during menopause is not just about the physical symptoms but also about the psychological impact of this life stage. The emotional upheaval during menopause can lead to feelings of uncertainty, anxiety, and even depression. By acknowledging these challenges, women can take proactive steps to manage their stress and improve their overall quality of life.

The Connection Between Hormones and Stress Levels

Hormones play a critical role in regulating many bodily functions, including mood and stress responses. During the perimenopause and menopause, the levels of key hormones like estrogen and progesterone fluctuate and eventually decline dramatically. Estrogen in particular has a significant impact on the brain’s neurotransmitters, such as serotonin, which is often referred to as the ‘feel-good’ hormone. Lower levels of estrogen can result in mood swings, irritability, and feelings of sadness.

Cortisol, known as the stress hormone, is another key player in the body’s response to stress. During menopause, cortisol levels can become dysregulated, leading to increased stress and anxiety. High cortisol levels are associated with various health problems, including weight gain, high blood pressure, and a weakened immune system. Understanding the hormonal changes that occur during menopause can help women identify the sources of their stress and take steps to manage it effectively.

The interplay between declining estrogen levels and increased cortisol can create a vicious cycle of stress and anxiety. This hormonal imbalance can disrupt sleep, impair cognitive function, and diminish overall well-being. By being aware of these changes, women can better anticipate and mitigate the impact of stress during menopause. This knowledge empowers women to seek out strategies that can help balance their hormones and reduce stress levels.

Common Stressors Faced by Women in Menopause

Women in menopause often face a unique set of stressors that can compound the physical and emotional symptoms associated with this transition. One common stressor is the change in body image and self-perception. As women age, they may struggle with the societal pressure to maintain a youthful appearance, leading to feelings of inadequacy and diminished self-esteem. This can be exacerbated by weight gain, changes in skin elasticity, and other physical changes that occur during menopause.

Another significant stressor is the role of caregiver that many women assume during this stage of life. Caring for aging parents, supporting children through their own life transitions, and maintaining household responsibilities can be incredibly demanding. These caregiving responsibilities can leave little time for self-care and personal interests, contributing to a sense of burnout and chronic stress. The emotional toll of balancing these roles can be overwhelming and impact a woman’s mental health.

Career pressures and financial concerns are also prevalent stressors for women in menopause. Many women are at the peak of their careers during this time, facing high expectations and demanding workloads. In addition, financial planning for retirement and ensuring long-term financial security can be a source of anxiety. These stressors can affect work-life balance and overall well-being, making it essential for women to develop effective stress management strategies.

Benefits of Stress Management During Menopause

Effective stress management during menopause offers numerous benefits that can enhance a woman’s quality of life. One of the primary benefits is improved physical health. Chronic stress can weaken the immune system, increase the risk of cardiovascular disease, and contribute to weight gain. By managing stress, women can reduce their risk of these health issues and maintain better overall physical health. This can lead to increased energy levels, better sleep, and a more active lifestyle.

Managing stress can also significantly improve mental and emotional well-being. Reducing stress levels can alleviate symptoms of anxiety and depression, enhance mood stability, and improve cognitive function. Women who effectively manage their stress are more likely to experience a sense of calm and emotional resilience. This can lead to better decision-making, improved relationships, and a greater sense of control over their lives. Emotional well-being is crucial for navigating the challenges of menopause with confidence.

Another key benefit of stress management is the enhancement of quality of life. Women who develop effective stress management strategies are better equipped to enjoy their daily activities and pursue their passions. They are more likely to engage in self-care practices, maintain positive social connections, and find joy in their personal and professional lives. Effective stress management empowers women to embrace the changes of menopause and thrive during this significant life transition.

Mindfulness Techniques for Stress Relief

Mindfulness is a powerful tool for managing stress and enhancing well-being during menopause. It involves being fully present in the moment, paying attention to thoughts, feelings, and sensations without judgment. (“Mindfulness – The Practice of Being Present in the Current Moment”) Practicing mindfulness can help women become more aware of their stress triggers and develop healthier responses to them. One simple mindfulness technique is focused breathing, which involves taking slow, deep breaths and concentrating on the sensation of the breath entering and leaving the body. This practice can quickly calm the mind and reduce stress.

Another effective mindfulness technique is body scanning, which involves lying down and mentally scanning the body for areas of tension. Starting from the toes and working up to the head, women can focus on each area, noticing any sensations and consciously relaxing tense muscles. This practice can help release physical tension and promote a sense of relaxation and well-being. Regular body scanning can also improve body awareness and help women identify and address physical stress symptoms before they become overwhelming.

Mindfulness meditation is another valuable practice for stress relief. It involves setting aside time each day to sit quietly and focus on the present moment. (“Mindfulness Practices To Relieve Insomnia And Reduce Stress”) Women can use a mantra, focus on their breath, or simply observe their thoughts without attachment. This practice can help reduce the mental chatter that contributes to stress and cultivate a sense of inner peace. Over time, regular mindfulness meditation can rewire the brain to respond to stress more effectively, leading to lasting improvements in mental and emotional well-being.

The Role of Exercise in Managing Menopausal Stress

Physical activity is a vital component of stress management during menopause. Regular exercise can help regulate hormone levels, reduce symptoms of anxiety and depression, and improve overall physical health. Engaging in aerobic activities such as walking, jogging, swimming, or cycling can release endorphins, which are natural mood lifters. These endorphins can help combat feelings of stress and enhance overall feelings of well-being. Additionally, aerobic exercise can improve cardiovascular health, increase energy levels, and promote better sleep.

Strength training is another important form of exercise for women in menopause. Building muscle mass through resistance exercises can help offset the natural loss of muscle that occurs with aging. Strength training can also improve bone density, which is particularly important for women at risk of osteoporosis. Incorporating weight-bearing exercises such as lifting weights, using resistance bands, or performing body-weight exercises can provide multiple physical and mental health benefits. These exercises can boost self-esteem, improve body image, and enhance overall physical function.

Mind-body exercises such as yoga and tai chi are also highly beneficial for managing menopausal stress. These practices combine physical movement with mindfulness and breath control, creating a holistic approach to stress relief. Yoga can improve flexibility, strength, and balance while promoting relaxation and reducing anxiety. Tai chi, with its gentle, flowing movements, can enhance physical coordination and mental focus. Both practices can help women develop a sense of inner calm and resilience, making them valuable tools for navigating the challenges of menopause.

Nutrition Tips for Reducing Stress and Enhancing Well-being

Nutrition plays a crucial role in managing stress and maintaining overall well-being during menopause. A well-balanced diet can help regulate hormone levels, support energy production, and promote mental clarity. One key dietary strategy is to focus on whole, nutrient-dense foods that provide essential vitamins and minerals. Consuming a variety of fruits, vegetables, whole grains, lean proteins, and healthy fats can support overall health and reduce the impact of stress on the body.

Certain nutrients are particularly important for managing stress during menopause. Omega-3 fatty acids, found in fatty fish, flaxseeds, and walnuts, have anti-inflammatory properties and can support brain health and mood regulation. Magnesium, found in leafy greens, nuts, and seeds, can help relax muscles and reduce anxiety. B vitamins, found in whole grains, legumes, and lean meats, are essential for energy production and can support a healthy stress response. Incorporating these nutrients into the diet can enhance mental and physical resilience.

It’s also important to limit the intake of foods and beverages that can exacerbate stress. Caffeine and sugar, for example, can cause fluctuations in blood sugar levels and contribute to feelings of anxiety and irritability. Alcohol can disrupt sleep and negatively impact mood. Reducing or eliminating these substances can help stabilize energy levels and improve emotional well-being.
The Importance of Social Support and Community

Social support is a critical factor in managing stress and enhancing well-being during menopause. Strong social connections can provide emotional support, practical assistance, and a sense of belonging. (“How Social Connections Reduce Stress and Enhance Emotional Well-Being”) Women who have a reliable support network are better equipped to cope with the challenges of menopause and maintain a positive outlook. Connecting with friends, family, and community groups can provide opportunities for sharing experiences, gaining perspective, and receiving encouragement.

Building and maintaining social connections can be achieved through various means. Joining support groups specifically for women going through menopause can provide a safe space to discuss symptoms, share coping strategies, and receive validation. Participating in social activities, such as book clubs, hobby groups, or fitness classes, can also help women build new friendships and strengthen existing ones. Volunteering in the community can provide a sense of purpose and fulfilment while creating opportunities for meaningful connections.

It’s important for women to prioritize their social well-being and make time for relationships that bring joy and support. This may involve setting boundaries to protect personal time, reaching out to loved ones, and being open to new social experiences. Cultivating a strong support network can help mitigate feelings of isolation, reduce stress, and enhance overall quality of life during menopause. Women who feel connected and supported are more likely to thrive during this life transition.

Professional Help: When to Seek Therapy or Counselling

While many women can manage menopausal stress with self-care strategies and social support, some may benefit from professional help. Therapy or counselling can provide valuable tools and insights for navigating the psychological challenges of menopause. Women who experience persistent feelings of sadness, anxiety, or overwhelm may find it helpful to work with a mental health professional. Therapy can provide a safe space to explore emotions, develop coping strategies, and gain a deeper understanding of the impact of menopause on mental health.

Different types of therapy can be effective for managing menopausal stress. Cognitive-behavioural therapy (CBT) is a widely used approach that helps individuals identify and change negative thought patterns and behaviours. CBT can be particularly helpful for addressing anxiety and depression symptoms. Mindfulness-based stress reduction (MBSR) combines mindfulness practices with cognitive strategies to reduce stress and improve emotional well-being. Other therapeutic approaches, such as negative emotional release therapy, can also provide valuable support.

It’s important for women to recognize when they may need additional help and seek out qualified professionals who can provide appropriate care. This may involve consulting with a therapist, counsellor, or psychologist who specializes in menopausal issues. Seeking professional help is a proactive step toward managing stress and enhancing overall well-being. Women who receive the support they need are better equipped to navigate the challenges of menopause and maintain a positive outlook on life.

Conclusion: Embracing Change and Finding Balance

Menopause is a significant life transition that brings both challenges and opportunities. By understanding the impact of hormonal changes on stress levels and identifying common stressors, women can take proactive steps to manage their well-being. Mindfulness techniques, regular exercise, balanced nutrition, and strong social support are all valuable tools for reducing stress and enhancing quality of life. Additionally, seeking professional help when needed can provide valuable support and guidance. (“Examples of Psychological Stressors in Everyday Life”)

Embracing the changes of menopause and finding balance is a journey that requires self-compassion and resilience. Women who prioritize their physical and emotional health are better equipped to navigate this transition with confidence. By developing effective stress management strategies, women can transform the challenges of menopause into opportunities for growth and empowerment. This journey is an invitation to rediscover inner strength, cultivate well-being, and embrace the fullness of life.

As women embark on this journey, it’s important to remember that they are not alone. Millions of women around the world are experiencing similar changes and challenges. By sharing knowledge, supporting one another, and embracing a holistic approach to health, women can thrive during menopause and beyond. Let this be a time of self-discovery, empowerment, and transformation. Together, we can master menopause and create a future filled with vitality and joy.

Life as a working professional in a high-pressure management role can feel like a never-ending race. The constant demands, tight deadlines, and need to be in control often leave you stressed, anxious, and disconnected from yourself. At Chi-Chi’s Retreats and Spa in the beautiful Western Cape, South Africa, we offer a sanctuary for lifestyle and stress management through our retreats, giving you the opportunity to pause, heal, and rediscover your inner peace.

Lifestyle and Stress Management: Anxiety and a Deeper Spiritual Connection

Managing Anxiety

At Chi-Chi’s Retreats and Spa, we understand the challenges of managing anxiety, especially for women in demanding management roles. Our founder often jokes that she teaches what she needs to be reminded of daily. Through our wellness retreats, we reinforce positive neuro pathways. When faced with unexpected changes, it’s natural to feel out of control and anxious. By activating your breath and reminding yourself that you are safe and secure, you can quickly regain control and calm your mind. Remember, you have control over the chemistry in your brain, which can positively impact your immune system1.

As explained in Everything You Need to Know About Stress – Healthline2, deep breathing activates the parasympathetic nervous system, reducing anxiety and promoting relaxation.

Boost Your Energy with Gratitude

Waking up feeling heavy and unmotivated? Your thoughts might be the culprit. Instead of dreading the day’s to-do list, try starting with gratitude.

Starting your day with gratitude can significantly change your outlook and energy levels. At Chi-Chi’s Retreats, we encourage you to find three things to be grateful for each morning.

Gratitude isn’t just a feel-good practice; it changes your brain chemistry. According to In Praise of Gratitude – Harvard Medical School3, gratitude can increase positive emotions, improve energy levels, and even strengthen your immune system. This simple habit can leave you feeling energised and ready to tackle the day with joy.

Your health is your true wealth, and gratitude can help you appreciate it more deeply.

Protect Your Immune System by Managing Cortisol

Chronic stress keeps your body in survival mode, pumping out cortisol and adrenaline. These hormones suppress your immune system, making it harder for your body to heal. At our retreats, we teach techniques to decompress your central nervous system and self-regulate throughout the day. By managing stress effectively, you can biohack your body to promote healing and rejuvenation4.

By biohacking your body each night, you can support your immune system to repair and rejuvenate while you sleep.

Connecting to Your Higher Self or Intuition

Many of our guests come to Chi-Chi’s Retreats feeling disconnected from their higher selves due to stress, trauma, and negative emotions.

Many women arrive at our retreats feeling numb, disconnected, or stuck on autopilot, often after exhausting medical options. Stress, toxins, and negative thoughts can block your connection to your higher self—whether you call it intuition, the Holy Spirit, or your inner guide.

Our holistic approach helps you detoxify physically, mentally, emotionally, energetically, and spiritually. By reconnecting with your higher self, whether through intuition, the Holy Spirit, or your belief system, you can find joy, passion, and purpose in life again.

Lifestyle and Stress Management Retreats: In Summary

Life as a working professional in a high-pressure management role can feel like a never-ending race. The constant demands, tight deadlines, and need to be in control often leave you stressed, anxious, and disconnected from yourself. At Chi-Chi’s Retreats and Spa in the beautiful Western Cape, South Africa, we offer a sanctuary for lifestyle and stress management through our retreats, giving you the opportunity to pause, heal, and rediscover your inner peace.

Our retreats focus on managing anxiety, boosting energy through gratitude, protecting your immune system by managing cortisol, and reconnecting with your higher self. By teaching you techniques to self-regulate and decompress, we help you regain control over your mind and body, promoting overall well-being.

If you suffer from claustrophobia, the thought of being enclosed in an ozone pod might be daunting. However, with the right techniques, it is possible to manage this anxiety and benefit from ozone pod therapy. Let’s explore a real-life scenario to understand how this can be achieved.

A Real-Life Experience with Claustrophobia and Ozone Pod Therapy

A lady came to our spa with lymphoedema, seeking ozone pod therapy (ozone sauna therapy) with a rebounder. This potent combination is known for releasing toxins from the lymphatic system, thereby helping to alleviate lymphoedema. When we placed her in the ozone capsule and closed the doors with only her head sticking out, she immediately started panicking, expressing her claustrophobia and the need to get out. Recognising this as a trigger, we realised she didn’t feel safe in her body.

Managing Claustrophobia with Breathwork and EFT Tapping

To calm her down, we initiated breathwork techniques and EFT tapping. She breathed in through her nose for four seconds, held the breath for four seconds, and then exhaled through her mouth for eight seconds. Simultaneously, she tapped on her chest using the Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT) tapping method. While tapping, she repeated affirmations such as, “I am safe and secure. I’ve got this. I always land on my feet.”

Within a minute of practising this breathing pattern and affirmations, her anxiety subsided. This response indicates that a neural pathway in her subconscious mind was signalling danger whenever she was in an enclosed area, causing her to feel unsafe.

Rewiring Neural Pathways to Overcome Triggers

This experience demonstrates how trauma triggers can halt us in our tracks. By becoming aware of these neural pathways and using techniques like breathwork and EFT tapping, it is possible to change our brain chemistry, making us feel safe and secure, and thus alleviating anxiety.

Conclusion

In conclusion, claustrophobia does not have to prevent you from undergoing ozone pod therapy. By employing techniques such as controlled breathwork and EFT tapping, and possibly exploring Trauma Release Exercises (TRE), you can manage your anxiety and benefit from this therapeutic treatment. Understanding and addressing your triggers is a crucial step towards healing and achieving a balanced, peaceful life.

If you have any further questions or would like more information on managing trauma triggers, please contact us directly.

Remember, you have the power to change your brain chemistry and overcome your fears.

Eczema is a chronic condition that many people struggle with, characterised by red, inflamed, and itchy skin. Conventional treatments can sometimes fall short, leading sufferers to explore alternative therapies. This is the story of a client who found relief through ozone sauna therapy and natural mineral ointments.

Eczema Natural Healing Treatment: True Story

Recently, we had a client hospitalised for severe eczema. Upon her release, she sought out ozone sauna therapy at ChiChi’s Retreats and Spas. Ozone therapy, known for its ability to pump oxygen into cells, blood, and organs, helps cells absorb water and release toxins. This therapy is particularly beneficial for skin conditions like eczema and psoriasis.

During her treatment, our client underwent a series of ozone sauna sessions. After just three sessions, the improvement in her skin was remarkable. The oxygen from the ozone therapy played a significant role in rejuvenating her skin by aiding in toxin release from her lymphatic system.

Natural Mineral Ointments

To complement the ozone therapy, we applied natural mineral ointments on her skin. These minerals are crucial for cellular health, aiding in the absorption of nutrition and water, while facilitating the proper release of toxins. The combined effect of the ozone sauna and the mineral ointments led to a noticeable improvement in her skin condition.

Eczema Natural Healing Treatment

For psoriasis or eczema natural healing treatment, we highly recommend ozone sauna therapy. It not only helps in detoxifying the body but also supports overall skin health when combined with essential minerals. This holistic approach ensures that the cells receive the necessary oxygen and nutrients to function optimally.
